Wiltshire Constabulary

The Wiltshire Constabulary Police area consists of the whole
of the county of Wiltshire (1343.9 square miles) and serves
a population of over 564,471 persons.
The total number of police officers in the force is approximately
1200. To support these officers, they employ approximately
600 support staff.
Specialist departments within the force include Criminal
Investigation Department, Dog Section, Firearms/Public Order,
Training Department, Major Crime Support Unit, Special Branch,
Security Operations and an Air Support unit.
Wiltshire Constabulary priorities are to:
- Respond promptly to calls for assistance
- Reduce and detect crime
- Reduce road traffic casualties
- Develop safer communities together with
other agencies
