Lyneham has always been in the limelight, for various reason.
Either, with the military prescence, its workhorse of giant
Hercules transport aircraft carrying out mercy missions in
all four corners of the globe, being the first in last out
to all major conflicts. But there are many people that spend
a few years years here, transitting through either in their
job or their parents haved worked in the local community.
We have done a little research and some of these temporary
residents, who either spent years in their childhood here
have now established themselves fully in the public eye. For
that reason we have added a 'People from Lyneham' feature
highlighting some of the now famous people that we may not
have realised were connected with our village in some way. |
