Flaming June?

This month was particularly warm and dry up to the summer solstice on the 21st.

Gales, floods, fallen trees and landslips have caused havoc across much of the south of England as flaming June felt more like miserable November. The weather changed for the worse, heavy down pours and high winds resulted in Wimbledon tennis being rained out. Tennis fans had to make do with repeats of earlier matches on the big screen the weather forced the cancellation of all of the day's play..

The Severn Bridge was also closed as a result of high winds. The heavy rainfall on the night of the 22nd June, resulted in floods isolated floods on the A3102 Wootton Bassett road at Swindon. Many cars got caught in a flooded road and caused traffic jams.
