"The Forces First Volunteer Radio Station"
Lyneham Radio is the first volunteer-led radio station within the RAF,
and possibly, the first within all three Services. It provides an excellent
medium by which to communicate local news and announcements to the Lyneham
community, whilst offering excellent music and some extremely funny and
talented DJs.
One of the aspirations of the radio station was
to stream Lyneham Radio onto the Internet. This has
been acheived and now through technology, enables Lyneham
Radio to reach RAF Lyneham personnel serving
away
from the Station, keeping them in touch with life at home.
When the station is off air you can catch up all the latest
forces related broadcasting with British Forces Broadcasting
Services.

As Lyneham Radio is a service for
the whole of the Lyneham community, the team is always looking
the input of listeners. Inputs can be anything from advertising
a local event to providing breaking news on a 'hot topic'.
Although the Lyneham Radio studio will not always be manned,
inputs can be fed into the radio station by simply leaving
