Viva Becks USA
The Beckhams' exodus to Los Angeles amid fireworks and ticker-tape,
David Beckham was given his first taste of life
as an all-American soccer star. 13th July 2007. He was
welcomed to the LA Galaxy football club in a bizarre ceremony
at the team's ground in Carson, California. The former
England captain was forced to make an uncomfortable speech
to the crowd of fans and media in which he said: "For
me, the most important thing in my life is my family. The
second most important is the football." Correcting himself
he said: "Oh, the soccer. I'll get
used to that, sorry."
