The Archbishop of Westminster paid a glowing tribute to Pope John Paul II, who he described as 'one of history's greatest Christians' who would 'surely be known as Pope John Paul the Great'. John Paul "changed the role of the papacy," He had been in touch with every level of the population, from young to old and rich to poor, and he went beyond the Catholic Church. It's going to be very tough for the Catholic Church to follow him."
