Forget David Beckham and Wayne Rooney, it’s time for all you Lyneham footballers to show off your skills at the tournament of the year! YELL (Youth Entertainment & Leisure in Lyneham) are holding a footie tournament to raise funds on

SATURDAY 11th FEBRUARY 2006
AT SLESSOR ROAD PLAYING FIELD,
From 11:00am
til Finish
(dependant on the number of teams entered!).

The event is open to all ages and there are three different age groups for the teams:

Under 11s

12 - 15 years

16 Years and over

Teams should be 6-a-side, and the cost of entering is £6.00 per team.

To enter, round up some of your friends or workmates, think up a great name for your team and then please give your entry fee along with the the entry form to: (Entry form click here)

The Hive Information Centre, The Hub (within the NAAFI building on Camp) or post to Lisa Mitchell, Community Development Worker, Teal House, 20 Teal Avenue, Lyneham, Chippenham, Wiltshire, SN15 4QA.

Any cheques should be made payable to YELL.

ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE 12:00PM ON FRIDAY 10TH FEB.

The group that brought you LYNEHAM YOUTH SHELTER is looking for new members, to help make more great stuff happen in this village for local children and teenagers!

If YOU are:

  • A military or civilian community member
  • With or without children
  • Single or married/with a partner
  • A young person or an adult
  • Interested in providing local kids & young people with better play and recreational facilities
  • Full of ideas for new YELL projects
  • Keen just to find out more about YELL

Come along to YELL’s Annual General Meeting, on: 6th March 2006 starting at 7.30pm in The HIVE, RAF Lyneham. This meeting is being held by Youth Entertainment & Leisure in Lyneham (YELL), a group made up of local community members who aim to improve the quality of life for all children and young people living in Lyneham by developing youth facilities and recreational and leisure opportunities.
