"It has been a tragic day for RAF Lyneham and it's personnel. Everyone involved in dealing with the aftermath of the incident has been working hard to provide as much support as possible to the families of those involved."

"It is at times like this that the support network and team spirit of the RAF come to the fore and the station will do everything it can to take care of our people. It is too early to release any details of the incident at this time and it would be wrong to speculate on the cause. "
