AN advice service tailored to everyone working or living at RAF Lyneham in north Wiltshire will be launched next month.

North Wiltshire Citizens Advice Bureau is delighted to be offering a new advice service for everyone working or living at RAF Lyneham. The CAB helps local people solve their problems whether it’s about debt, benefits, housing or consumer matters

RAF Lyneham is working closely with the North Wilts CAB, which has offices in Chippenham, Calne, Wootton Bassett, Corsham and Malmesbury, to provide an impartial and confidential service for Lyneham personnel, whether military, civilian, contractor or family member. It will be available at Lyneham on the first Monday of the month.

Sheila Venn, Bureau Manager said, "We are very proud of the service we provide. Our service is holistic so we deal with all the problems people have, not just the issue they came in with. People have very busy lives and by being at RAF Lyneham we will be able to help people who cannot get to our other offices.”

Station Commander, Group Captain Paul Atherton said, “I am very pleased to welcome the CAB to the Station. One of my key priorities is the welfare of personnel and their families. Getting advice about a problem early on can really make a difference and the CAB give quality advice, which is free and absolutely confidential. The CAB’s presence will fit in nicely with our other welfare agencies at Lyneham and offers choice to the individual.”

The CAB worker will be in The Hive at The Hub, RAF Lyneham on the first Monday of the month. Advice is by appointment only. To make an appointment phone the CAB 01249 443054 Mondays to Fridays 9 to 5
