Major Roadworks - A3102 Delays Expected

A3102 Wootton Bassett High Street
The one-way system will be enforced while Wessex Water carries out repairs to sewers in the High Street. A new storm tank is also being installed under the street in a bid to tackle flooding. A one-way system will be introduced and result in lengthy delays between 9th January 2006 and the 3rd February 2006. Wessex Water expects the work to be completed within five months. During that time northbound traffic will continue to use the High Street while southbound drivers are being diverted via Bincknoll Lane, Noremarsh Road, Station Road and New Road. Please try to avoid the area, maybe if you need to get to Swindon try the back roads down Preston Lane via Buston.

A3102 Hilmarton to Calne
Wiltshire County Council Highways have advised that the A3102 between The Duke public house Hilmarton and Beaversbrook Bypass roundabout will be experiencing serious delays owing to road resurfacing. The planned maintenance will start from 16th January 2006 and is expected to last six weeks.
