two of the finest singers in the modern music generation,
I do not know what will. Katie Melua has teamed up
with her idol, the late Eva Cassidy,
to record
a new charity
single
for
Christmas.
In a unique version of the Louis Armstrong classic What
a Wonderful World, the singer, who spent a large part of
her childhood in Belfast, recorded the duet alongside 'songbird'
Cassidy.

Katie Melua has recorded a new single, ‘What A Wonderful
World’, to help raise money for the British Red Cross’ Charity
of the Year partnership with Tesco. Soaring high on the
success of her latest album ‘Pictures’,
Katie recorded the duet alongside her idol, the late singer
Eva Cassidy, in a unique version of the Louis Armstrong
classic ‘What A Wonderful World’.
The single,
a past recording by Eva Cassidy combined with a brand
new sound track by Katie is set to be a Christmas favourite
On 10 December ‘What A Wonderful World’, a
duet by Eva Cassidy and Katie Melua, is released. Available
exclusively through Tesco, at £1.99 online, all profits
from sales of the single will benefit the British
Red Cross,
the 2007

Charity of the Year.
