ARTISTS inspired by aircraft and the world of flight are currently on display in Sue's Gallery and Framing Shop in Cricklade, in the run-up to the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford from July 15 to 17.

And to complement the theme, the High Street shop is also stocking the noval Married To Albert by Wiltshire author and RAF wife Annie Waller. Gallery owner Sue llett said: "We support local artists who appear at RIAT and Annie painted pictures using words about life as a pilot's wife. We wanted to offer the book along with other traditional forms of art."

Ms Wailer's debut novel Married to Albert was on sale nationwide just three weeks after its official launch and she was invited to speak a the London Book Fair. Then she went on to tour around the UK doing book signings.

She has been invited as a guest of honour to RIAT because of her support for the RAF Benevolent Fund. "It's hard work but I have been signed up by a top London literary agent and am working on the sequel which should be out next year," she said.

Some of the few remaining first edition copies of Married To Albert will be available at the gallery, and a second edition will be printed later this year. Married To Albert was published by Boltneck Publications Ltd, a small independent publishing house in Bristol. Ms Waller has pledged a percentage of her sales to the RAF Benevolent Fund.
