TWENTY-SIX children at Little Alberts Pre-School in Lyneham
said cheerio to their friends for the final time as they left
for primary
school.
Manager Jean Rimmer said an end of term party held last
Thursday was a fun but sad event, as so many children were
setting off for pastures new.
"I doubt we'll see a lot of them again, so I had a lump
in my throat," she said. |
| The garden party, for the 60 children and
their parents, included light lunch, strawberries and cream
and a party entertainer called Magic Timmy. "Everyone
had a wonderful time," said Mrs Rimmer. "The magician
made 2-3ft high balloon hats of giraffes and teddy bears and
we had lots of family games. We also said goodbye to two members
of staff, Karen Farry and Jan Johnstone."
Mrs Rimmer sent a massive thank you to parents for raising
£1,500 over the past year. "We only have 60-children
so that's a marvellous amount," she said. "We are
really, really grateful. Little Alberts is based in three
converted quarters in Teal Avenue, Lyneham and takes children
aged between two-and-a-half and four. |
