CARAVAN THEFTS!

We have been advised by a local resident in Wootton Bassett, that they have had their caravan stolen from their driveway in the early hours of the morning this week. This family, also witnessed a police incident, where another caravan was was stolen from the driveway of a house in Freshbrook. It has been apparent that this type of crime has become a regular pattern in the last couple of weeks.

We had a report of two separate caravan owners in Lyneham, who had their luxury caravans stolen in the early hours of the morning. The caravans were parked outside the house, ready for the owners to go away on vacation. Unfortunately, the thieves have arrived in the early hours and removed both mobiles. One of the two vans was later found on the M4 just before junction 19.

We would strongly advise all caravan owners to ensure that the trailers are very secure and maybe wheel clamped. If you have spotted any suspicious behaviour in the early hours or witness a caravan being towed with a different number plate to the vehicle, please report it to Wiltshire Police.
