Swimming is great exercise. Very few other activities offer the cardio vascular conditioning and muscular toning that swimming does. Swimming is a stress reliever. Swimming takes your mind off of the every day issues, and gives you a fresh start. It is considered to be one of the most essential skills to develop from an early age. You will never know the day that you will need to be able to swim.

Maybe, your friend has fallen in the river and you need to rescue them. Learn how to be safer in and around the water. It will help children overcome fears they might have and will give them a sense of pride and accomplishment. If you can not swim you may regret it. It's fun, energetic and very sociable.

Many of the local Sports Centres, provide activities at the pools and offer various lessons for beginners and improvers. A fun programme helps you structure your time in the pool effectively.
