Basketball is the World's fastest growing and
largest participation sport – it is played by millions
all over the world. It is estimated that there are around
a quarter of a million people in England who regularly participate
in basketball. It is becoming increasingly common to find
basketball as a part of primary and secondary schools curriculum.
The most recent England Basketball Annual Report shows there
are a huge number of youths involved in the sport. There are
currently 3182 boys and 1468 girls with active memberships
all included with the 97 youth club members of England Basketball.
Basketball is fun, it's energetic, and a very competitive

The "Swindon Sonics School of Basketball" encompases
a Junior development programme which currently provides coaching
and progression for over 100 juniors in the Swindon area.
There are separate training sessions for Minis, Junior Boys,
Junior Girls, Ladies and Men. Most of the training and home
games are held at The Link Centre in Shaw, West Swindon. |
