Thank you for all the old photos I am researching the Hawkins family from Clack in Bradenstoke, haven't found any pictures of them yet but I'll keep looking. Thank goodness someone is keeping history alive, well done.

Locals so friendly whenever passing through RAF Lyneham. And to you all, on behalf of my family and friends we wish to say "God Bless You all for all that you do on the sad days when 'our fallen lads' come home" Wonderful town, wonderful people.

My Father was stationed at RAF Lyneham and RAF Colerne in the late 1940s early 1950s and always spoke fondly of his time in Wiltshire. He was in his late teens/early 20s at the the time, but once had to drive a transporter to RAF Leuchars in Fife, with a folded-up plane on the back - in the days before motorways! He stopped off at his home town of Glasgow to see his parents and said that the transporter was the length of the street they lived in. I've never been nearer than Bristol, but I aim to change that sometime soon.

What an exciting discovery to come upon your informative and attractive website. I am a descendant of Anthony Walker and the Heneage Family. There before me on your website were images and text describing my heritage! Thank you so much for this information. Perhaps someday I can come and visit your lovely village of Lyneham.
Sincerely,
Margaret U. Rummel-Wilson

Hi Everyone in Lyneham..!
I drive through our lovely Wiltshire countryside and through your village, steeped in 'Forces' history most days and was wondering if anyone can help a (Professional Practitioner) Holistic Therapist in distress..!? I'm looking for treatment rooms in your area to provide much needed healthcare to clients unable/unwilling to travel too far from home.. If you think you can help, please contact me.
With very many thanks

Only visted Lyneham once in early December 1960 to fly to Cyprus on Crew change, via a Comet, could not say I found it comfortable. Looking for Reg Knight who finished up in Edinburgh Field (Aus)
Would be in late Seventies, Early PB
