Radio Rewind is an unofficial website dedicated to the history of BBC Radio 1
and 2. Radio 1 was launched on 30th September 1967 as the first legal pop station
to counteract the number of pirate stations being transmitted. On the launch
Tony Blackburn started the transmissions and Radio Rewind goes to an era of 275mw,
285mw, Smiley Miley, DLT and Bruno Brookes plus the history audio clips and pictures. |
