Newspapers

In the Lyneham Village Online community we have newspapers offering an unrivalled readership, the "local" weekly and daily newspapers, with their own special identities, are consistently increasing in pagination. Growing numbers of advertisers regularly report excellent responses to advertising campaigns and 'one off' advertisements.

In particular the 'locals' provide local news for local people when you want it. A constant stream of exclusive stories, groundbreaking community campaigns, hard-hitting features alongside eye-catching pictures and a healthy advertising section contribute to award-winning papers locally.

The Gazette & Herald, your weekly paper in the area, available on Thursday's, has won many notable awards, not only for the newspaper quality itself, but the endless hours they spend in fighting community concerns and campaigns.

The papers have large sports section covering several big football teams - Swindon, Bristol City and Rovers, Chippenham and deliver the news for the smaller teams in the area. The excellent sports coverage means we get a solid base of football fans reading the newspapers.

Local weekly newspaper available Thursday's, serving Wiltshire across three centuries. The Gazette and Herald pullout property and drive sections has an excellent reader profile and reaches more people in every socio-economic group than any other newspaper in its area.

Notwithstanding, the paper provides the weekly news stories they are well known for their care and compassion to the community. Many local people have noticed that this enterprising reporting team are not tarnished with the typical stereotype of media of doing anything to get a story. Their extreme sensitivity to the families and friend of the tragic Hercules crash in Iraq on January 2005 was most praiseworthy.

This excellent newspaper has gained "UK Press Gazette's Weekly Newspaper of the Year" and "Newspaper Society Community Newspaper of the Year" Award. You can catch up on the news and information online. www.gazetteandherald.co.uk

Lyneham Village Online has an excellent rapport with the Gazette & Herald team and invariably provide two-way accurate reports and information of your local news, particularly in Lyneham, as it happens.
