| The Shopmobility service operates a fleet of manual and
electrically powered wheelchairs and scooters for use by anyone
with mobility problems. Once a member, you just book the machine
for when you need it. Ideal for Swindon City Centre. If, after
an initial free trial, you wish to join, then the registration
fee is only £10 per year! .
It's Simple - If you have never used a machine before rest
assured ours are simple to operate. They are designed for
use on pavements and will travel at walking pace driven by
easy to use controls. For those of you unfamiliar with this
kind of equipment training will be provided.
Your nearest shopmobility scheme can be found at Swindon
at the Wyvern Multistorey carpark. Opening Hours Monday -
Saturday 9.00am - 4.30pm. Please phone and book in advance.
Thamesdown Dial-A-Ride services can be used to take you from
you home to the Shopmobility Unit. Alternatively you can arrange
to be met at a town centre bus stop by a volunteer. |
