A rising spring sun casting shadows
across the A3102 Wootton Bassett road at the Village
Green. Many of the Beech, Silver Birch and Oak trees
have just starting to bud providing the next seasonal
generation of leaves.
many of these trees planted on the green are protected
by preservation orders by North Wiltshire District Council.
Even to trim the side shorts from the trunk, requires
planning application. Many of the oak and beech trees
were planted in the mid 1800's.
The White Hart Inn public house is situated on the
roundabout junction.
