Lyneham Village Green pictured
with the low-lying early morning Autumn sunshine beaming
onto the trees.
Pictured on the 1st November 2007
during an unseasonal warm period, following a wet summer
the autumnal fall was more radiant than ever. The
picture is taken next to the roundabout on the
main A3102 Lyneham to Calne Road and B4069 Chippenham
Road.
The majority of the trees
on The Green were planted by parishioners to replace
old tree and to perpetuate
the
memory of their families association within the village.
The Coronation Beech trees were planted in 1937 around
the same time as the village hall being built. |
