Hercules XV179

This aircraft was tragically lost on 30th Jan 2005 in Iraq, killing all 10 on board. Hercules XV179 departed Baghdad at 16:24 for a routine flight to Balad. The airplane was flying at low level when it was hit by enemy fire. The outboard 23 feet of the right wing separated and the Hercules lost control. It crashed and broke up. Full story read here
