RAF Lyneham 1964

This aerial photograph over RAF Lyneham taken during 1964 shows a flypast of Britannia C2 XM519 which leads a Comet C2. Other Comet C2's are on the ground with other Britannia's.

The Terminal building below the lead Britannia opened that year.

The pictures shows the original Station Headquarters, Sergeants' Mess, Decontamination Centre, Station Sick Quarters and mortuary, Naafi, Ration Store, Sally-Anne Canteen, Bulk Fuel Installation, Coalyard and Bombing Teacher.
