Woodhill Park Clyffe Pypard

This image was taken from Bellcroft Farm in Clyffe Pypard looking northwest down the sloping escarpment towards Lyneham village and the RAF base on the horizon.

The copper coloured farm house in the middle of the image is Woodhill Park the site of the medieval village of Woodhill. The bronze coloured hedgerow running right to left, just behind the farmhouse meets at the roadway which is the location of the mill mound, the site of an old windmill. coincidentally named Windmill Hill.

The farm buildings on the extreme right edge of the picture is Thickthorn Farm, which was part of Lyneham manor in the late 1800's.
