Wiltshire's skyline captured late August
2004 looking north-east towards Waite Hill Farm. This
image was taken from the B4069 Chippenham Road at Dauntsey
banks looking over the shallow valley towards the farm
and the rolling hills towards Tockenham reservoir.
The farm buildings are located on a slight ridge approximately
90 metres above sea level. The land gradually rises
behind the farm buildings to 115 metres with the outer
limits of the Great Wood on the left of the hilltop.
The white building on the hillside is Bowds Farm on
Bowds Lane close to the path of the disused Wiltshire
and Berkshire canal. |
