Harvest 2007

This image taken 12th August 2007 shortly after the season harvest of the wheat fields north of Barrow End Cottage (Ordnance Survey grid reference: SU 015 795) walking along side Lilybrook stream.

A good weather forecast enabled farmers to wrap up of winter wheat during the August weekend. Wheat yield from across Wiltshire has been average, owing to the poor summer weather, ie the very wet June and July months.
