The purpose of The Remembrance Sunday Service was
to remember and to give thanks for those prepared to
make the ultimate sacrifice in the service of their
country.
This year's events fell just two days before
the 90th anniversary of the armistice at the end of
World War I.
The No 47 Squadron Standard
is proudly carried through the nave of St Michael
and All Angels Church for the Remembrance Sunday service.
It was standing room only, in the tightly packed church,
even the bellringers gantry was used to fit in the
extra congregation. |
