This image of the RAF Lyneham station
medical centre rear entrance was taken in 1970
by the late Chief Technician Bill Kidd a former airframe
fitter on the Comets who was employed on the station
in the late 1960 to 1970's. The image was kindly sent
in by Bill's son Ian who lived in the village during
his parents tour at the station. The white building
at the background is the single airmen and airwomen
canteen, The Wessex Restaurant.
