This image of the RAF Lyneham's Wessex
Restaurant on the Royal Air Force station was taken
in 1970 by the late Chief Technician Bill Kidd a former
airframe fitter on the Comets who was employed on the
station in the late 1960 to 1970's. The image was kindly
sent in by Bill's son Ian who lived in the village
during his parents tour at the station. It is interesting
to see how the airman restaurant has changed with a
fine display of flora and bedding plants to the entrance.
