This hand drawn map of RAF Lyneham
1950, shows the way things have changed with main entrance
to the station. The original entrance was via a turn-off,
marked point A, from the main Lyneham to Chippenham
road, down a little sunken road the turn left at point
B passing the orchard on your left then a short distance
to the main gate.
