This picture was kindly provided by
Mr Clive Hendon, who vividly remembers the business
the Yeo family used
to run in the village along Chippenham Road. He recalls
the family were very skilled carpenters
and wheelwrights, often building and repairing many
of the community horse drawn wagons in the mid to early
1930's. The picture shows Mr Yeo stocking up the fire
to ensure the wheel rim is hot bonded
before placing it on the
cart wheel.
