Sunday afternoon walks
through the village were popular as families dressed
up. This image was found in the 'Wiltshire within Living
Memory' book written by the Wiltshire Federation of
Women's Institues illustrating that Sunday's were reserved
for church or chapel, Sunday School and the leisurely
afternoon walk. Dressed at their best, the Telling
family set off across Lyneham Green. We have a picture
