The image sent in by Mr Jim Newman from
Michigan, USA shows the RAF Married Quarters in their
very early stages of construction in 1948 - as the ploughed-up
ground will show.
If you stood in the back garden of 2 Harrow Grove today and
looked northwards, this is the view that would have
seen in 1948.
Incidentally, this building was originally
numbered, "45 RAF Married Quarters" - and
remained so through at least 1951.
