This picture was taken on the 3rd February
2009 of Church End Place blanketed by a dusting of
snow. This property was used as a video rental and
off license named "Janette's Videos". Grid reference - SU 023 788 GB Grid
Up to eight
inches of snow fell across the country, bringing the
nation to a standstill. Thermometers dropped to minus
5°C
making driving conditions extremely hazardous as the
thawed snow became black ice on the roads. Lyneham
escaped much of the disruption as only half the amount
