This picture was taken on the 3rd February
2009 of Webbs Court blanketed by a dusting of
snow. These houses were built in 1996 by Wilson
Homes.
Up to eight inches of snow fell across the country,
bringing the nation to a standstill. Thermometers dropped
to minus 5°C
making driving conditions extremely hazardous as the
thawed snow became black ice on the roads. Lyneham
escaped much of the disruption as only half the amount
of snow fell on the village.
