Bakers Field estate was built in the 1990's and this cul-de-sac housing is one of the very few roads in the village that is actually named after a historic part of the parish. It was named after the field it was built on Bakers Field, which is recorded in the Lyneham Estate Sale 1905 under Lot 11 Church Farm Plan No 387 Bakers Close.
