As part of the bicentenary
celebrations to mark the anniversary of Isambard
Kingdom Brunel, we witness such a spectacular firework
display at the Clifton Suspension Bridge Bristol.
Isambard Kingdom Brunel, one of the most versatile,
audacious and inspirational engineers of the nineteenth
century. Brunel was born
on 9th April 1806, in Portsmouth. In a short lifespan
he built 25 railway lines, more than 100 bridges, including
five suspension bridges, eight pier and dock systems,
three ships and a prefabricated army field hospital.
