'Spice of Asia' both located on the B4069 Chippenham
Road. Pictured in March 2006 the 'Spice of Asia' bills
itself as serving Bangladeshi style cuisine and is proud
of using only natural ingredients.
The diverse menu is well set-out, with an explanation
of each dish and includes starters, such as garlic king
prawns, tikka kebabs, samosas and aloo chat, and also
baltis, jalfrezis, kurmas and vindaloos.
But the Spice of Asia seems to be gaining a reputation
for its special dishes designed to give the customer
a truly original experience.
The Spice of Asia opened in Chippenham Road in the
village 7th June 2005, and is owned by Abdul Kahhar.
Mr Kahhar also owns and runs The Laibagh in Rodbourne
Road and The Gulsham Brasserie in Shrivenham, He said:
"This is an opportunity to bring to the Lyneham
area speciality food that we have successfully been
providing in Swindon for over 15 years."
The grand opening of the Spice of Asia restaurant was
attended by 80 guests. Among those invited to take part
in the day was the Mayor of Swindon Ray Fisher, Wootton
Bassett Mayor Chris Wannell and Chippenham Mayor John
Scragg along with their partners. |
