The Co-operative Store is located on
Calne Road opposite St Michael and All Angels Church
in the village. This store was previously called VCS
Stores and then Londis
Store.
Mr Maci was the manager of the Londis store until
his retirement in August 2006. Shortly afterwards the
store
was transferred to the Co-operative
Society and was reopened following a few days refurbishment
on 29th March 2007.
Youngsters at Lyneham Infants and
Junior Schools helped launch the new £220,000 village
Co-op store. Each school was presented with £100 which
the pupils will decide what to do with. Store Manager
was Tony Howard on the opening. |
