This photograph of the former Lyneham
Toll House, No 22 Church
End Lyneham which was Maries Hairdressers at the time.
A short while after this
image was taken extensive renovation work took place
converting the frontage and reworking the leanto on
the right hand wall to provide the hairdressers. This
picture was kindly provided by Brian Hairdressers 2007
We have another picture of this Toll House, taken earlier
in the 19th Century and records show that the occupants
were the Toll Collectors for the main highways travelling
to Calne. See image here
