Picture with thanks to Clive Hendon

Lyneham Village Hall

Lyneham Village Hall was built in 1937 and provided a central meeting place for villagers. The hall, was used during the Second World War as a canteen for the Women's Auxiliary Air Force who used to live behind in housing at Pound Close. The picture postcard image was taken approximately 1944.

Special thanks to Clive Hendon for the copy of this picture postcard.
