Freegrove Farm 2006

Freegrove Farm located in the southern part of the village (Ordinance Survey SU 023 776) is an established dairy farm with many historic features. The earliest census records of 1841 show Jacob Large aged 50 lived in the farm dwelling. He lived here with his wife, Martha, who was ten years his senior.

Do you know any other village bygones, facts or hold images of the past, what the building was used for, who visited it, or do you you have a tale to tell with the life in Lyneham.

If so please let us know so we can fill in the missing bygones of the village and share it with everyone else. Please contact the webmaster here.
