The Route Hotel at RAF Lyneham opened in 1961 and provided
accommodation and meals for thousands of RAF Transport
Command passengers travelling to all parts of the world.
How times have changed, the vehicles were typical of
the station transport that was used during the 1960's.
Do you know any other village bygones, facts or hold images of the past, what the building was used for, who visited it, or do you you have a tale to tell with the life in Lyneham.
If so please let us know so we can fill in the missing
