This aerial picture taken October 2003
shows Lyneham Church End. The main A3102 Lyneham to
Calne road joins on the image in the top right corner,
running diagonally left to the Church End roundabout
where Preston Lane runs south east.
St Michael and All Angels church is pictured on the
top border of the image. On the right hand side of the
Preston Lane roundabout is the former Lyneham
National School which is now a private dwelling.
Both Lyneham schools are pictured to the right of the
image with the Junior School at the top and Infants
just adjacent.
The building with the concertina green coloured roof
is the former Lyneham Naafi stores. It has been closed
since 1980's and awaits further plans for the site use. |
