Lyneham Airfield Aerial 2007

This aerial photo of RAF Lyneham located airfield on the plateau of the Swindon-Lyneham Limestone ridge. The airfield is approximately 150 metres above sea level and the escarpment banks bordered by woodland roll down to the left into Avon Vale at a height of 80 metres above sea level.

The runway which runs from the bottom right corner of the image is geographically running from south to north 180 degrees.
