Picture with thanks to Andy Humm Location of Blind Mill

Lyneham North

This aerial picture taken October 2004 shows the northerly approach to the village along the A3102 from Wootton Bassett.

The snaking hedgerow in the fields from the top right corner is the course of the Lilly Brook stream where it meets at the ford of Farthing Lane.

The large L shape gathering of trees, centre of the image, borders Lillybrook stream as it meanders through the gentle valley towards Tockenham Reservoir. Located within the lower right section of this small wooded area is the derelict remains of Blind Mill. To the left of the main road into Lyneham is Mr Webbs fields of Pound Farm and directly opposite is Bowd Lane.
