Pound Close and South View Lyneham

This aerial picture taken October 2003 shows the northerly part of the village with the main A3102 road (running left to right across the top centre) leading out towards Wootton Bassett and Swindon.

Before the White Hart Inn was built the white terrace house was recorded as the only bar in the village, named the 'Three Pigeons Inn'.

Much of the Pound Farm land has not changed from early days and the woodland is Cowlease Copse running diagonally across the image. Grid reference - SU 025 793 GB Grid
