This aerial picture taken October 2003
shows the Harrow Grove and Lancaster Close housing estate,
some former and current Air Ministry accommodation.
As part of the surplus married quarter sale in November
1996 these houses were put on the market for approximately
£57,000. They were snapped up in a frenzy as houses
in Lyneham, as always are a premium.
The sole semi-detached house located on the entrance
to Harrow Grove, (left centre of image) was the first
families accommodation property to be be built. The
main A3102 runs north bisecting the top left corner
of the image, with Bakers Field houses on the left and
Webbs Court on the right
