CALLING LOCAL KARAOKE STARS
The Mallard joins national search for singing talent!

The Mallard in Lyneham has entered Pub Stars, the national karaoke competition that took the UK by storm last year, and is hoping to find the winner among its customers.

From Saturday the 28th of January singers will be able to enter the competition at The Mallard that could make them a star.

Last year nearly 400 pubs entered the competition and over 20,000people took part over a period of 16 weeks. This year Pub Stars promises to be even bigger, with an estimated 1,000 pubs set to participate.

The Mallard will be holding a series of fun, exciting heats from January to March to find its own pub star, who will go on to represent the venue in the regional heats in April.

The selected finalists will then take part in the Grand Final in May 2006 at a top London nightclub.

The lucky winner will receive £2000, a day in Easy Karaoke’s studio recording a gold disc of their winning performance, and the opportunity to sing live in front of the record industry talent scouts.
